Seven Cosmetics Polish Review

Hey Rubies!

I don’t know about you but nowadays when I go to the nail salon for a manicure I usually bring my ophotogrid_1481828933206wn nail polish. Whenever asked by my nail tech to pick a color I always respond that I have my own. Is seems that many times the colors tend to be stale, outdated and repetitive. Hence I am always on the prowl for new and interesting polish colors and companies.

Enter Seven Cosmetics!  I met Jasmine Bazemore, Co-founder and Co- owner of Seven Cosmetics at my first For Sister’s Only Expo. I was elated to be introduced to a young female entrepreneur carving out her piece of the cosmetic industry pie. I later met Jasmine for brunch to learn more about her brand. Right now Seven Cosmetics has over 15 vibrant, trendy and beautiful nail lacquers. The goal of Seven Cosmetics is expand beyond nail polishes and touch other areas of the beauty field. Nail polish is just phase one of many great things to come.

Now let’s get into the review. I received three nail lacquers to try and review. As always I promise to give my honest opinion.  With the holidays here I decided to try the shades Cherry on Top, Heartless and Throne. I wanted to test the vibrancy and wear of the polish over time so I did not apply my usual UV gel top coat. Drum roll please…I absolutely love the polish! The first day I came home from the nail salon both my daughter and husband complemented me on my nails. (I didn’t tell them I was going cause mommy just needed a pamper moment). When my husband complimented them with no prompting from me; I knew we were off to a good start.

Packaging. The polish came in cute little lace pouches, which makes it easy to transport, store or gift. The bottle is chic, simple and square and easy to open and hold while painting  your nails or someone elses.

Price. each polish is $7.00, pretty reasonably price compared to the average price of other brands. All polishes can be purchased via their online website and if you subscribe to their newsletter you’ll get a coupon for 30% off your next order.

Quality. The polish is fast drying, which is a plus when a rambunctious 3 year old wants her nails painted too! A few minutes in front of the fan between coats plus a top coat equals a beautiful outcome.  I wore my polish for 18 days!  There was some chipping toward the edge of my nails which I mostly attribute to my clanking away at a keyboard for my 9-5 and on this here blog.

Kid approved. With the polish being vegan friendly, cruelty free and 5- free. Five free meaning it is free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP and camphor. I felt more than comfortable letting my mini in on the fun when she said she wanted to paint her fingers and toesies.

Seven Cosmetics is an up and coming company with big plans for the future. Next year Jasmine plans to expand her product line to include nail jewelry, nail stickers, press on nails and more. Until then check out her current gift set on sale for the holiday.if u

Those are beautiful! I always wondered if people brought their own nail polish to the salon. It seems so much more hygienic. Do you see that as trend that is growing? Do you think salons will eventually get to a point where instead of just picking a polish off the wall, they make you buy the whole bottle?

They are beautiful! I don’t forsee salons making it a trend to buy the polish personally. I think if you want to buy a Polish that you really love from them you can. I’ve just gotten tired of picking the same colors so I like to bring my own. 🤗🤗
