*Singing* It’s beginning to feel a lot like spring… more and more each day. Palm Sunday was an amazing day and an interesting day all at once. I had a wonderful service at church and then had to go to meeting. After a very interesting meeting my friend and I decided to take some time to explore downtown DC, CityCenter to be exact. I had no idea
this was there, so it truly was a very pleasant surprise!
While I was driving I saw these beautiful paper lamps in wonderful shades of pink (one of my fave colors). I had to park and take a photo! That’s when we hopped upon CityCenter DC by accident. We decided to have a mini photo shoot while we were exploring.
City Center is a “new luxurious neighborhood” in DC located between H Street NW and New York Avenue, it’s also nestled between 11th and 9th streets. It was established back in 2015…
These are found in the center of two luxurious apartment buildings.
It certainly did not disappoint. There are several high end retail stores and restaurants to shop and eat, respectively. Over 30 to be exact!
The pink paper lanterns were hung for “City in Bloom” in support of the National Cherry Blossom Festival (from March 16- April 16). It’s purpose is to “create a whimsical, bright atmosphere for all to enjoy” and hunny, that we did!! Palmer Alley looked so beautiful, it immediately put a smile on my face!
We’re bringing sexy shoulders back! I must admit that I am a Ruby who appreciates symmetry. At first I did not think that I would feel comfortable in this dress because it was asymmetrical. However, thinking back to January and our Mindset Shift series, I knew I had to get outside my comfort zone.
I am so glad I did!!! My husband gave me the nod of approval, which of course is the bee’s knees! I really enjoyed the off the shoulder component, it was easy breezy and hassle free. The bold zipper and flap in the back of the dress made it very interesting from all angles!
