I’m here with a little light-hearted fun from the Ubiquitous Hair, beauty and fitness expo held in the convention center of Downtown Washington, DC. This was my first time attending the Ubiquitous Expo, an old co-worker of mine told me about it last year and I knew I wanted to attend this year. I’m glad to have the opportunity to attend one day of the two day expo this year, because it was so much fun!
I will definelty be rounding up my girls next year so we can make it a tradition. There was music, vendors, celebrity appearances and workshops. It was educational, fun and well worth the price of admission! Although it’s a two day event here in the Keep scrolling to check out photos from the event.
District of Columbia Mayor, Muriel Bowser, presented the 2017 Ubiquitous Human Rights Award to Bree Newsome, Filmmaker and Activist; as well as to, Karonda Cook the 2017 Ubiquitous Beauty Boss Award Honoree and Dir. of Merchandising for Sally Beauty. Talk about Women Empowerment at it’s finest!
Raheem Devaughn was the headliner on the mainstage for the day and he did not disapoint! His 45 minutes set keep everyone engaged and singing along to his hits. he has a new ablum coming out on September 22, 2017. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this conscience brother.
Eva Marcille (I remember as “Eva the Diva” from America’s Next Top Model) was in attendence showcasing her new First Ave, Sunglass Collection to the masses. They are cute, chic and trendy.
Eva was so kind and humble and stopped to speak with every single person. I see a pair of First Ave. Shades in my future!
Boris Kojoe, from the Real Husbands of Hollywood, stopped to snap a pic!
Robyn Dixon from the Real Housewives of Potomac was also in attendance promoting her up and coming Women Empowerment Event
There were familar brands along with up and coming brands, where you could grab samples or purchase full size products at a major discount.
CVS was in attendace as well, providing health screens and health education to attendees.

Lexi P. is a 12 year old entrepenuer making mogul moves and encouraging girls young and old to embrace and love their curly hair. I can’t wait to speak with her more in depth about her business plans for the future. In the mean time you can purchase any of the two books she has authored here!

I had the please of stopping by the Women of Excellence Magazine booth as well. The founder is a Baltimore native whose mission is to uplift and empower women to live a life of excellence.
The hair and fashion show was another fun moment of the day. Hosted by the Glynn Jackson, various beauty brands worked with designers to showcase fashion as well as their hair care products. Guys joined in on the fun showcasing products for their hair and beards. Their were children models and performances as well. Check out photos below!
