I hope you are enjoying your summer or at least the last few days of what is left! I know I am soo late to the party with this unboxing as this box has been out a few week but it’s been kinda hectic around here, and it actually works out though because I can give my honest opinion and review having had some time to try out the products.
I do have some exciting projects I am working on and can’t wait to announce them soon! Back to topic on hand, BoxyCharm is one of my favorite beauty boxes, if your not familiar with BoxyCharm, it’s a monthly subscription service that cost $21 a month and it’s curated with over $100 of skincare, makeup and beauty products.
Becca -Hydra- Mist Set& Refresh Powder ($39.00)
This was my first time trying the Becca Setting powder and I must say I have been loving it! I am very particular about which setting powder(s) I use on my face because it doesn’t take much to make my skin angry. The Becca site boasts that the “powder sets and refreshes makeup for a silky smooth, invisible finish.” That portion I can attest to, when I set my foundation it does not look cakey, it doesn’t make my skin look dry and it doesn’t dry out all the moisture. What’s also really interesting is that it is formulated with 50 percent water..wow! Now being a member of the oily/ normal skin family I was a little weary about being overly hydrated and then in turn looking overly sweaty, and to my chagrin this has not been the case at all!

I don’t know how they were able to do it but I’ve been using it since I received it earlier this month and so far it’s left my skin feeling pretty good, not clogged or irritated. I would say that a little bit goes a long way and if you have dry skin this is definitely very moisturizing and leaves a subtle dewy glow. I would give it 4 out of 5 Rubies and would I purchase again? I believe I would!
Peach & Lily- Glass Skin Refining Serum ($39.00)
The Glass Skin Refining serum is my first introduction to the Peach and Lily Korean Beauty brand. I’m not particular familiar with the “glass skin” trend however this is by far my favorite product in the box this month. The site boast that you can “go makeup-free and filter-free with this ‘super juice’ serum which delivers everything you need for picture-perfect skin.” It did leave my skin feeling soo soft, it minimized my pores and my foundation looked bomb, it applied very smoothly and easily. I will definitely be adding it to my makeup kit! This gets 5 out of 5 Rubies and yes I would repurchase!
Wander Beauty- Glow Ahead Illuminating Oil (42.00)BoxyCharm for the win with two skincare products this month!! This is my second runner up for favorites this month. In my opinion this can be used as a primer or a moisturizer it can also be used as a highlighter, as there are subtle sparkles in the mix . The applicator dropper is so convenient and makes it easy to only use a small drop at a time; and a little bit goes a long way. I prefer to apply it in the evening after I cleansed my face. Although I’ve used it under my foundation and during the day and really enjoyed the outcome for both time frames, this is especially perfect for dry skin types.
I will be using this during the fall and winter months to keep my face glowing and moisturized. Ingredients included are: Castor and black currant seed oil which help with balancing moisture and Niacinamide which helps even skin tone. It’s also free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, and mineral oil; and it’s cruelty free, gluten free, vegan friendly.
Ace Beaute- Glimmer Shadow Duo ($25.00)
The glimmer eye shadows was a very pleasant surprise in the box. I love both of these shades. The pink shade is “Huckleberry” will most likely be used before the summer is over for sure. The silver shade is “French Vanilla”, and that would be great for adding some glam to the inner crease. The eye-shadow is very creamy, build-able and easy to manage. Ace Beaute was not a brand I was familiar with prior to my BoxyCharm introduction and I am looking forward to trying out more from this brand. I’m dishing out 3 out of 5 Rubies for the eye shadow pots only because I prefer palettes 🙂
Steve Laurant- Lip Liner ($15.00)

All in all, I enjoyed all of the products in this month’s box. The total price breakdown was $160 and I only paid $21! If this is something that you are interested in giving a try you can check out the site here. Are you a BoxyCharm subscriber or have you tried any of these products?
